Spell Binding jewelry was a concept that I created in October, 2009. One day I walked into a Joanne Fabric store and signed up to take a jewelry class as it was something that I'd always felt interested in.

I chose jewelry because I LOVE wearing it but I could never find anything that spoke to my “magickal and nature” spirit. In addition, when I did find something I liked it was way out of my price range. I use to think, “I should be able to do a much better job and it shouldn’t be that expensive!” All people should have a chance to wear something beautiful!

During my first jewelry class I realized I had some talent when the teacher asked to purchase my first project! I couldn’t see my first piece being sold so I went and repurchased all of the beads that I used, designed another piece and sold it to her. I spent the next few months designing, taking more classes and in March 2010, I took a glass fusion class. I became so enthralled with cutting glass and melting it that I purchased my own kiln and set up a studio!
